Sage 50 Accounts Training Course No. 6 - Managing VAT

Aimed at: Users with an effective understanding of Sales, Purchase ledger and Banking procedures who are taking responsibility for preparing and submitting the VAT return, experienced bookkeepers who haven't got recent Sage experience and workers returning from a career break.

What will I learn?
How to set up and use Tax Codes, how to deal with Reverse Charges, EU and Overseas transactions, produce and check the VAT return, correct errors, pay the VAT bill and clear down control accounts.

Course Objectives
By the end of this Sage 50 Accounts Managing VAT training course you will:
- Understand how Tax Codes are managed and how they interact with the return
- Understand Reverse Charges, EU & Overseas transactions
- Be able to produce, check and submit a VAT return
- Be able to make corrections to a VAT return
- Be able to write off bad debts and perform a VAT reclaim
- Be able to submit the claim and pay the VAT
- Be able to run the VAT Transfer Wizard to clear down control accounts
